This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected when you use LandscapeCalculator.net (the "Site"), how it is used, and the choices you have. The Site is operated by iBizWorks ("we," "us," "our").
Information You Enter Into Calculators
Our calculators run entirely in your web browser. The measurements and options you enter are processed on your own device to produce a result. They are not sent to our servers, and we do not store them.
Information Collected Automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records standard server log information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, the referring page and the date and time of the request. This information is used to operate and secure the Site and to diagnose technical problems.
Information You Send Us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to respond to you and to improve the Site. We do not sell it or add you to a mailing list.
Advertising and Cookies
The Site uses Google AdSense to display advertisements. Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. Advertising partners use them, along with similar technologies such as web beacons and device identifiers, to serve and measure ads.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this Site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices.
- To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some features of websites may not work as intended.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland may be shown a consent message that lets them accept or decline the use of cookies and personal data for advertising.
How We Use Information
We use the limited information described above to operate, maintain and secure the Site, to understand which pages are useful, to respond to messages, and to display advertising that keeps the Site free. We do not sell your personal information.
Links to Other Websites
Our articles link to outside resources such as university extension guides. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Please review their policies when you visit them.
Children's Privacy
The Site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, including California and other U.S. states with consumer privacy laws, or the EEA and UK, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, and to opt out of the use of your data for targeted advertising. Because we collect very little personal information, most requests can be handled quickly. To make a request, email contact@landscapecalculator.net.
Data Security and Retention
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we receive. The Site is served over HTTPS. We keep emails only as long as needed to respond and maintain a record of the correspondence. Server logs are retained by our hosting provider according to its standard practices.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
